Middletown Friends Meeting invites the public to attend the first presentation in its environmentally-based speakers series, “Learning to Live in a Changing Climate,” on Sunday, March 23, at 2 PM.

The first presenter will be Jonathan Sprout.  Sprout owns a net-zero home that puts more energy into the electric grid than it takes out. He will discuss specifics about a carbon footprint, including reducing use of plastics, installation of solar panels, benefits of owning a plug-in vehicle, how to secure free tree saplings for your property, and how to choose the best energy-efficient heating and cooling devices available. Sprout will also explain how converting to a net-zero lifestyle can save you money as well as help save the planet.
