Come with us on a 2-mile roundtrip walk, as we follow the Delaware Canal towpath from Afton Avenue
to Lock 5. Then we will head west to explore South Canal Street, a Yardley neighborhood that’s a bit
hidden away. A special stop will be the historic AME Church, now known as Gather Place. Conservator
Shirley Lee Corsey will tell how, in just one year, the dilapidated building was transformed into a
museum and performance space with bigger plans to come.

This is a fine opportunity to learn about the Canal and Yardley’s Black community.
